St. Urho ’23 and Me Information and Schedule of Events

The 48th Annual St Urho’s Celebration will be March 17th, 18th and 19th this year. The Theme is St Urho ’23 and Me.

How are you related to Saint Urho? We’re all Finnish on Saint Urho’s Day, right?

St Urho’s Celebration in Finland, MN is back for another year with a ton of fun events, the main one being the parade at Noon on Saturday March 18th.

March 10th, 11th and 12th – St Urho’s Float Workshop – 11am – 3pm all weekend

Friday, March 17th –  6-8pm – Miss Helmi Talent and Beauty Contest – various stops around town

8:30pm-Midnight – Music at the Four Seasons by Tara Nelson and Friends

Saturday, March 18th –

8-10:00am – Finland MN Historical Society’s Pancake Breakfast, and Craft Vendors at the Clair Nelson Center

11am – Noon – Outdoor music at the Finland Fire Hall by Robin Sunquiet

Noon – Tug of War across the Baptism River

Before and during the parade – Finland Fire and Rescue will be selling refreshments outside the Finland Fire Hall

Before and during the parade – AfterProm will be selling St Urho T-shirts.

Noon-1 pm – Parade through Finland on Highway 1. Call Tina Buus at 612-327-6925 to register for the parade. The Parade will also be livestreamed on Facebook at www.facebook.com/sturho/

1-3pm – Clair Nelson Center – Craft Fair, Kids Games, Mojakka Lunch, and Music by the Northern Stars

1-3pm – Outdoor music at the Finland Fire Hall by Steven Solkela and the Berserk Blondes.

After the parade – Wildhurst will have pizza, tacos, and drink specials.

After the parade – Music at the Our Place by the Curry Band. Outdoor Beer Garden. 

3:30-6pm – Wally’s Wheels – Spin for prizes at the Four Seasons.

8:30pm-Midnight – Music at the Four Seasons by Tara Nelson and Friends

Sunday, March 19th –

4pm – Raffle Ticket Drawing – Livestream – Drawing will take place at the Wildhurst. Door prizes start at 3:00pm! Tune in to the St Urho’s Celebration in Finland, MN Facebook Page to watch.

7pm – Bidding ends for the St Urho’s Online Auction Fundraiser.
