St Urho 2022 Thank Yous and Shout Outs

Kiitos paljon kaikille!  Thank you all so much! To the many people who helped to make the 47th Annual St Urho’s Celebration happen. From the guys who put the sign up over the highway, to the folks in the parade, to all the raffle ticket sellers, to the businesses that helped out by donating or selling raffle tickets and buttons, you all help make this event happen. Thank you so much!

Big thanks to the crew that put on Miss Helmi, the great contestants this year and their helpers, and to Bob and Dianne at the Our Place for feeding the crew afterwards, and for lending us your bartender so he could WIN!!! Miss Helmi 2022 is Demetrius Hill, as Anna Conda, the Fresh Queen of Finland!

Thank you Cheri Bischoff for organizing an excellent parade, and to Colin Bischoff for stepping up to put them all in line on the day of! And we can’t forget all of the creative people with their amazing parade floats! You guys all rock! Thank you to our Grand Marshal Jim Sinderman!

Extra thanks this year to Krista Starkovich for her extra effort on crafts and costume materials for kids as well as decorations for the outdoor stage. Another big thanks to Robin Sunquiet and Andrew Norcross for setting up and figuring out the outdoor stage, to Robin and Steve Solkela and the Bad at Math Quartet for playing music during the day despite the chilly weather, and to Lovin Lake County for sponsoring the whole thing.
